Refund policy

At Defiance Sound, we sell digital music and downloadable products. Due to the nature of digital content, all sales are handled under strict digital consumer protection rules. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.


1. Digital Products – No Returns

All products sold on Defiance Sound are digital downloads (including WAV, MP3, sample packs, or other digital files).

Once a digital product has been:

  • Purchased and

  • Made available for download

It becomes non-returnable and non-refundable.

This is in line with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, which state that digital content is not eligible for cancellation once download access has begun.

By placing an order on our website, you agree that:

  • You are purchasing non-returnable digital content

  • You lose the right to cancel once delivery of the digital file begins


2. Exceptions – When Refunds May Be Issued

Although digital downloads are non-refundable by default, we may offer a refund at our discretion in the following situations:

  • The file is corrupted or faulty

  • The download link fails repeatedly and we cannot resolve the issue

  • You were charged incorrectly or multiple times

  • The wrong product was supplied and we cannot replace it

In these cases, we may offer:

  • A replacement file, or

  • A full or partial refund, depending on the issue


3. What Is NOT Eligible for a Refund

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Accidental purchases

  • Change of mind

  • Incompatibility with your device/software

  • Failure to read the product description

  • Downloaded files that function correctly

  • Claims made after excessive time has passed

Please ensure you check:

  • File format (WAV / MP3)

  • Compatibility with your device or DJ software

  • Product description and preview before purchasing


4. Download Responsibility

Once your purchase is complete, it is your responsibility to:

  • Download and store your files safely

  • Backup your files after download

We cannot guarantee permanent re-download access if files are lost due to:

  • Device failure

  • Accidental deletion

  • Local system issues


5. How to Request Support or a Refund Review

If you believe you qualify for a replacement or refund under the exceptions above, you must contact us within 7 days of purchase with the following information:

  • Your full name

  • Order number

  • Email used at checkout

  • Description of the issue

  • Screenshots or proof (if needed)

We aim to respond within 48 hours.


6. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Unauthorised chargebacks for successfully delivered digital content may result in:

  • Immediate loss of access to purchased content

  • Blacklisting from future purchases

  • Potential legal recovery for fraudulent disputes

If you have any issues, please contact us first — we are always willing to help when issues are genuine.


7. Accepted Payments & Processing

All payments are securely handled through third-party payment providers. Defiance Sound does not store card details on its servers.

Refunds (if approved) will be processed back to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or provider.
